'Ultimate Contact' Comfort Snaffle – Low Port Full Cheek (Fulmer) style bit.

Stainless steel full cheek snaffle bit with low port mouth, wide barrel and copper inlay.

(Very similar to a 'Myler' bit which retails for around twice as much for same style) Stainless steel (Top quality 304 grade Stainless) Full cheek (Fulmer) style, with low port mouth, copper inlay & shaped 'Comfort' mouth piece.

Ring size: 60mm  - Cheek length: 150mm

Great for youngsters.

Full Cheek: the main purpose being to exert lateral (sideways) pressure on the horse’s mouth.

When one side of the bit is pulled to turn, the opposite side also presses against a broad section of the lips and cheeks to assist the aid.

A full cheek can sometimes help correct horses who tip their heads to evade direct rein pressure, and help prevent the bit being pulled through the mouth of a horse that opens mouth.

It is a fixed cheek bit, similar to an eggbutt cheek, which may be useful for horses that are unsure of the bit, or working forwards into a contact, as it doesn't move around too much in the mouth (as opposed to a loose ring).

Curved mouthpiece with low port offers a higher degree of horse comfort as it allows even more room for tongue movement, aids in swallowing and relaxation.

In particular, a horse with a small mouth, large tongue and/or low palate may benefit from this bit style.

Helps eliminate head tossing; encourages horse to accept the contact and work forwards into bridle.

Clearer communication between horse and rider: Independent side arm movement means each side of the bit is able to move independently of the other.

When you lift one rein, only one side of the bit moves, giving the horse a very clear signal.

Provides excellent shoulder control as well as lateral flexion.
